Default Original Soarer/SC Prototype Photo

Check out this shot of the Soarer/SC in its prototype phase, i found it thumbin through Google Image search of Z30s. I'm glad the SC has such a unique identity of its own, a lot of the other Lexus models share too many lines w/ Mercedes and other German models. ( although I do see strong BMW/ /Merceds infuences in the SC.)

Both pics were also in HyperRev Vol.35 (Soarer Edition)... The SC prototype was the first Lexus designed in the US. It was built in Cali in hopes of attracting US buyers. I like the fact that an American designed, Japanese engineered coupe has been able to withstand the test of time so well. The car seems to fit so many bills (D1GP car, luxury sedan, 2JZ-GTE swapped street monsters, track cars, etc...)

I would have to disagree with you. From which cars from BMW or Mercedes do you see influenced on the SC?

I like the final production version much better than the prototype. Looks too much like a Ford Probe.
