I notice that the site is replete with how-to upgrade the SC400 for racing advocates. Well, for us older folks with no desire to turn our luxury sport coupe into a racer, here are some things I did to my 1992 SC400:

1. Installed lightest tint
2. Replaced factory seats with two-tone leather, with the inside color matching the car's exterior.
3. Installed fake wood dash kit.
4. Replaced factor steering wheel with a wooden steering wheel. This really looks good. Ordered from Amercian Stitches.
5. 18 inch tires, with back larger than front.
6. Put on silver carbon door pillars.
7. Ordered personalized floor mats.
8. Having clusters and needles upgraded by lextech. I should have it back next week.
9. Oh, and I had it painted.

I have other pictures, but there seems to be limit on how many I can upload. Can someone tell me how I can download more pictures?

Welcome

You can only attach one pic per post. If you want to publish more, you need to have them hosted somewhere and insert them with the "insert image" function (there's a button for that in the post editor toolbar).

I'd be interested to see pics of the tint and the dash kit, as well as some background info (which brand tint / dash kit did you use, where you got it from etc.)

Kudos for being original

Maybe it's just me, but I think adding a fake wood kit is more tacky than luxurious, and I consider personalized floor mats more novelty than luxury.

Anyway, post up some more pics. I wanna see these pillars too!

Thanks. I don't know much about modifying the engine, although I've learned a few things from this site about modifying the steering. I'll continue to research this and will post if I do anything to the engine.
