So this thread got me curious. I recently purchased my SC3 so I still had a spreadsheet of how much each year costs. According to Edmunds.com, the car dropped -2k across the board in each catagory (trade-in, private, dealer). But Edmunds is full of crack, they quote a 97 SC3 w/ 50K miles worth only 9k in CA. KBB puts the car at 13,600; I got my car for 12,600.
But I do agree the L emblem commands respect. Even though it's old, it still upholds it's status. My co-workers just think I bought it new and had it for a while and that I'm well off.

ive definitly noticed the prices have gone up
used to be all the time u could find these cars for 4500
but lately all i see is around 7000 (for the good deals obviously there is some for 12K+)
i managed to get my sc3 for 4300, well worth it most people think its a new car
