That is what I found. For the most part....I think they have remotes like the pictures on the GS guys car that was 'sponsored'. I will gladly let you come on over and help install them so that you gain some experience!!! j/k

I got an email from Eric at www.leatherseats.com and he re-stated that the lexus L is off limits for him to embroider. My plan B is still in effect, I found a local embroidery shop willing to do it for me.
Also, they DO sell just the front two seats. However, you are only saving a few bucks and no guarantee that the front and back seats will match.

The armrests ARE leather..and they are not hard to remove.
I removed them along w/my leather guy. They are attached by screws underneath the armrest. It' just takes a very small stubby phillps to get underneath there to undo the screws.
After that it's cake for the leather installer.
Local shops use better leather than the mass produced places like leatherseats.com and katzskin.
They used a very rough grain of leather that feels like sandpaper and u find in older mercedes models.
The leather I used was from connelly and is a soft grade. It wears out faster though if not taken care of.
But it's well worth it. It's a softer feel and not as grainy.
It's all up to personal preference of course

I ordered a new leather set for my SC from leatherseats.com. It hasn't arrived yet but I wasn't aware of the "grainy" leather. I guess i'll just have to find out when it gets here. I'm sure it still beats out old, hard, and cracked oem leather. And about the arm rests....I can just remove them and take them to an upholster? I'd like to do as much as possible as I can (save $$). The shops were telling me they need the car so they can do the arm rests. Is this true?

Just look underneath the amrest where the plastic holders are where u put stuff...right underneath it and you'll see the armrests are attached by screws...they're just ahrd to get to. U need a stubby screwdrive that can fit underneath to get em off. that's it.
Those places are just saying that so they can justify charging you more.
Get a stubby screwdrive and poke around..you'll get it off in 5 minutes.

Fred,
Massage motors look like "D" Cell batteries. To install, you simply cut the foam base and seat back out with a template and insert the motors. My Lexus has 8 motors and remote controls to match the leather color perfectly. Wiring is simple also, you just find power and ground on the seat wire harness and plug in the modules that fit under the seats.
