i have searched here, planet soarer, intellectual, and even ALSO, and have come up empty handed. im sitting here at work trying to fix my AC. all 3 wires going to the plug for the compressor go to ground. does anyone have a schematic for the AC system? or would anyone happen to now what may cause this? ill be at work for a little while longer, and ill check back before i leave and when i get home. thanks in advance.

yea, the compressor is not getting any voltage. hence, the clutch is not engaging. im getting a ground from all 3 wires going to the plug for the compressor. ill get another chance to pull it back in the shop tomorrow after work. im going to have a few other techs working with me... we should be able to narrow it down. im still open to any opinions on what it may be.... but i dont think its the compressor itself . thanks again.

no problem.....its possible that you had a leak in the system, and thats whats not letting the compressor engage. if the pressure in the system is too low it just wont turn on i believe... sounds wierd to me that all three of those wires would be going to ground all of a sudden...

its never worked since i got the car. i know i dont have a leak. i just recharged it last month and its still holding pressure. dunno why they are all getting a ground.

did you check for codes? when the car is off hold down auto and recirculating buttons, then turn the ignition on....

yes, i forget the nimber but its for the pressure switch cercuit. i havent checked it again since i recharged it. i think it was 23 or something. maybe ill try that now that its been recharged.

i think i might have the same problem with my a/c. but mine is partially due to a busted climate control unit. when i press the a/c button the clutch doesn't engage. might want to check that out.

my compressor doesnt come on either... which makes sence if there is no power going to it. all 3 wires go to ground. it may be as simple as a relay, or as complicated as a short somewhere in the harness. ill figure it out when i get some free time.... i hope.
