Default The $64,000 Lower Door Mouldings Question

Here's the big question: what is the part # for the 1997 upgrade door mouldings? I called the dealer and nobody seemed to know what parts I was talking about. I ordered what they thought was the parts, but unfortunately it wasnt it. So....

Need some help from you guys, I know everybody on forum says, "get the lower door mouldings, it wont look complete without." , many here have done the 97 upgrade, and funny enough this part # is not included on the intellexual.net site and didnt come up in my searches here at clublexus, so does anybody know the part # or where I can get it? Or is Steve Ganz my only hope?

On the brighter side, I am getting my 93 sc4 back this weekend, brand new paint job (mercedes black), new windshield, new exhaust, and new 97 + OEM kit upgrade! I wil be sure to take pics and do full writeup so you kids out there will have one solid example of what you can expect to go through and how much $ and time it takes to do the 97+ upgrade. Also, I am adding some ICE next weekend so stay tuned!

Fooz, you can find the part numbers by searching the 97 conversion GB's in the vendors forum that Carson Toyota held. Also, you can PM them for numbers and prices, as a vendor they will give you the best new price.

Not everyone says that- CL member wayne has only done the front:

...and the judges didn't seem to mind at all:

Although, I don't really know. I've never had to do this before. Hope this helps.

P.S. I pulled that info out of this thread.

Dixond, actually, that part# is not it. It goes somewhere else on the frame of car itself.

After calling several lexu stealerships, I called Carson Toyota, and finally ran into someone who knew what they were talking about.

They are called "front door outside lower mouldings", here are the correct part #s:

part #75735-24020/01 (left side) $120
part #75736-24020/01(right side) $120

make sure you mention its for clublexus to get price above. they will have it in stock within say 5 days.

I will soon be listing another complete 97 conversion parts listing once I get my car back, so if you others are planning on doing this, you will be able to go straight to dealer and easily put in your order. I know a parts listing has already been done, but I found that there are several items missing (that you should really get) not on that list.
