Default More pressure needed on gas pedal

Seems like it is starting to stick and I have to push harder, it clicks and then the car jerks from the take off.

What causes this and can I fix it cheap?

First, get in that footwell head first and check the gas pedal rod. It could be binding a bit and need a little grease. After that I would check the throttle cable at the intake manifold for binds.

Remove the throttle body and clean the carbon buildup, that should free it up.
