Default Happy new 97 SC400 owner.

I would like to say thank you to those who helped when I was posting question while in the buying process.

I aquired a 97 RSP (although I belive Lexus calls it a different name). 94,600 miles on the clock when I got it. Although I love the exterior color, the tan interior has to go. I'll probably be replacing it with some katzkin leather, along with some other custom touches like a redone rear deck to hold which ever subs I decide to settle on (right now I have an 8W7 I could bring over from my other car, but I'm not sure if I just want to add another of those, or do somthing different), Re done door pannels, and some nice kick pods all done in black leather ofcourse.

I also plan to add even more sound dampening (since I'm an installer I get a very nice discount on Dynamat brand products). I'm suprised with how quiet the car is stock, and plan to only make it better.

I'm a very picky person, and have driven countless cars looking for the ultimate Daily Driver, and can't belive how it all just clicked once I got behind the wheel of an SC400. The only complaint I have about my new car, is why the hell didn't this all don on me sooner.

Good year one year further (98) and you'd have had all the ponies under the hood

I think you definitely got the perfect SC400.

You get the body update, RSP (reason enough to buy the car), and you won't have to worry about modding the VVT-i motor.

Congrads, man. Post some pics.

Pics to come soon. I've been working my *** off lately so I've been to busy to take some good ones.

Anyone know if I can use the spare tire from a Turbo Supra with my stock rims? The previous lame *** owner decided to leave me with out a spare, and I plan on upgrading to TT wheels, and TT brakes down the road, so a stock spare probably won't fit over those anyway.

If you realy want some I can get you a good price on extreme up to the door kit (thats all we stock). Retail its 94$, I get it for like 40$. if your doing a whole car may be cheaper for you to just buy the ghetto home depot brand (I've used it before, 225 sq ft for 90$).

The Supra Spare should fit it. Maybe if you had the chance to pickup a full-size supra wheel later on you should do that so you can have a full-size spare that would fit.
