i didn't notice on the 1st one and on the 2nd headlight i broke the tab for that upper housing thing.

now going to use some lenz brite on the headlights and see the results.

Did you notice any diminished effects in lighting? I thought I read another topic that it's all projector and doesn't reflect off of any of the shiny plastic. I want to paint mine but not if I get less light. No planning on doing any HIDs soon.

I will say one thing, pulling these things apart was a big PITA. I had to heat mine 4 times each! Two per side. That stuff dries super quick. It would stick to my putty knife, harden, and then I couldn't get it back in. I didn't break anything though so all is good.

I don't think 3M Window Weld is your answer. You may want to try Nissan Headlight Sealer part #B6553-89915. Sold at dealerships.

Go with this, i haven't had any problems. Plus you can do like 4 or 5 sets

Sorry for the late responce, but I used black silicone. I think there is a problem with the venting though. Still haven't taken it back apart to check.

Question Help!

I attempted to do this a while ago and got it out of the oven and it would not come apart! Ended up having it in the oven for a cumulative total of 15 minutes and held together like it was nothing! ended up just running a bead along the outside but broke after one car wash! Any ideas??

OLT Thank you so much for this information. I was going to start looking for new lights but with this thread i'm going to try this myself. The worst that can happen is I'll FFFF it up and have to buy new lights. Right? Thanx again
