1 yr, eh? My lights still look absolutely brand new and haven't a single bit of condensation. You'd swear I just took them out of the box. One of my better diy's for sure.

Belated Happy Birthday to this thread This is a must read thread! Why isn't this a sticky yet OLT? This is the first DIY I'm going to have done to my car after I fix my front bumper which is pushed in about half an inch or so from a fender bender which is affecting the fitment of my headlights Anyway, THANKS OLT once again for a job well done

You may also use a heat gun to melt up the seal. With the heat gun, you can actually control the heat immediately by putting it near or far from the headlight. That's what I used. An average heat gun only costs about $20.

Awesome work, OLT!
I'm doing this on my next day off work! Need to buy some black silicone, 2000 grit sandpaper, good cleaner, plastic buffing compound and rubber gloves. This is the perfect answer to my question! Thanks again, OLT... you rock, man!

Great Write up on the DIY, OLT! Going to be using it this weekend...
One question though- can you expand on exactly how to get the headlight out of the sc400? I have read some posts here after searching, but it's mostly just text.. do you happen to have some pictures?

ok... all this focus on the front.. which is essentially just a pass-through barrier for the light..
i'm interested in doing something a little more serious...
i've noticed in my headlights, that the projector glass seems to be poorly cast... and no matter how much you polish it.. it's still dimpled.. i'm seriously considering getting a glazier to cast a few for me, just so i can try a few things..
i've got that whole outter lip pretty much crushed off.. only one little tab of it left on the first one i split..
pictures speak volumes.. i want 'crystal' clear... with no air bubbles...
