I was wondering who has the ability to purchase a $50,000+ car (aprox $1000 per month payments) but chooses to stick with the SC300/400

Um... I myself (15) couldn't. I did pay for my car though.

But my parents wouldn't think twice about it, I don't think.

Not only could I, but I have been looking lately at my options. It wouldn't exactly be an EASY purchase for me, but I could eat and still live ok + pay the bills. No Ramens

Still, I just hate going back into debt. I don't even have CC debt right now. I'm literally in the green and it's a beautiful thing

Yeah, I could afford it no problem. God, I hate saying that! I sound like a pretentious *****! Like Brian, I hate debt and I cringe at the thought of signing on for a car loan of that magnitude. I like liquidity.

Well, I currently have a 2000 RX300, 95 SC400 and a 92 SC400. I've been toying with the idea of getting rid of the SC's and getting a fully loaded Infiniti G35 Coupe and giving the RX300 to the wife. It's not $50k, but it's $40k w/ everything I want. DON'T SHOOT ME!!! i HAVEN'T MADE UP MY MIND YET!!!!

I could afford it but I don't see why I would when I have something as glorious as the SC no need to "upgrade" yet because the SC will never lose it's styling! way ahead of it's time just like the Supra

I already took out a G35 at the track in my SC so TAKE THAT! my friend had a white G35 coupe and likes it but, he saids he would rather have his 00' SC300 again.

I could afford it, BUT i'd be on a pretty tight budget. No go, plus I love my SC. One day soon I will add a 6spd TT Supra to keep it company

being a 21 year old college student, that'd be a big no.

I loathe the very idea of financing as well... it's dangerous business IMHO. Makes you think you have money you really don't!
