Heh, yeah but when smog comes around, I can just put it back in. In the meantime if I get stopped, just tell the cop its salvaged! If I disable the CC, can I just leave the harness unpluged?

You could get a sparco wheel with the two buttons. Wire one for curise on/off other for set. This is how I have seen many others. Also on my 92, no airbag pic on vin so I have never had any inspection/police problems.

I have a boss with the three cruise control buttons on the top of it like you speak of. It was purchased direct from Japan.
