Default Which SC should i buy of these two?

Ok, im in the market for a new car, im not settleing for anything less than an SC400. Im stuck between two cars though:

1.) Black 1997 with grey enterior, 115,000 miles, condition is unsure of, but should be decent
2.) Red 1995 with black interior, 57,000 miles, ABSOLUTELY PERFECT CONDITION, seriously, you could not ask for a better kept car, not 1 thing wrong with it, i inspected it myself and test drove it.

Basically what do you guys think of the red? (red as in red red, not maroon red)

Which car would you buy?

thanks for your input

She is asking 12,500, and its a woman so most likely she didnt drive the car hard, ever. Infact she didnt even know about the button under the gas pedel to drop a gear

I might be able to talk her down

Go for the red SC if its near perfect. However, drop the price to a minimum of $10,000. Use facts like potential repairs to convince her.

Explain to her that even though the cas is well taken care of there are repairs coming soon. For example, tell her how much it will cost you to replace the front lower control arms and the engine mounts. Both of those parts fail after 10 years. I hope this helps and good luck with you purchase.

I havent really searched further than 250 miles plus from my zip code and there are only like 6 on autotrader, at least for the sc400. And i really want the 400, not the 3, all my engine mods and my msd ignition will swap from my LS400 to the SC400 easy, along with other engine stuff. Not to mention i really like the V8 Plus im really picky on color, inside just as much as outside. I dont personally like white that much, and i really dont like a tan interior. So if this red sc had a tan interior, i wouldnt even think about it twice, im weird like that

even though I love black, I say the red 95 hands down. You can always repaint it later if color is an issue.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what button are you talking about? Is this only on the 400s?

when you push the gas pedel all the way down, it stops (obviously), but if you press it even harder, it will depress a button under the gas pedel, take a look. Maybe it is only for the 400's

I've noticed as time goes by, it's been harder and harder to find a mint and mechanically sound SC. Finding a truly mint SC is certainly a rare gem. Many are abused, beaten on and in awful condition. I would jump on the Renassiance Red 95, you'll probably won't find one as in good of a condition for awhile especially if your picky on exterior and interior color. Everyone wants the deal of the century but, the truth of the matter is..SC's are dying of age and mileage. Jump on a good one when you see it.

They're both about to need 60k service so thats $1k plus right there. Be sure to use that in your bargaining.
