Default Value of a 1998 SC300

I have a 1998 SC300 that just doesn't fit into the "family plan" anymore and I was curious as to what a fair offering price for it would be. Details of the car are below.

1998 SC300
2nd Owner Florida car
Pearl White/Tan leather Exterior is 9.5/10 and Interior is 10/10.
Automatic
114,000 miles
GS430 chrome wheels
all factory options along with upgraded Brembo brakes with 4 Piston calipers
All maintenance records stamped by the Lexus dealer along with the timing belt being replaced 10,000 miles ago.

Any ideas as to a fair asking price for the car?

Thank you in advance.

NADA.com
KBB.com

if your holding out for more than BB value, you need to find the one looking for your car.

As most will attest....personal upgrades dont add value to the car. (except for turbo's, tranny's, major suspension work.........But BB doesnt follow these...now your in a totally different market)

If you want your money out of what you've done (wheels, ect). put the stock wheels back on, and sell the after market wheels on Ebay.

BTW...make sure you pay attention to the differences in trade-in, private party and retail.

hope this helps.

**sorry for the edits** but 1 more thing.

Most people will take the Retail and the Private Party value and split the difference. The farther you are from retail depends on how motivated you are to sell.

Thank you for the reply. I apologize for not being more specific in my first post. I was more curious as to whether kbb was the true, "real world" value of an SC. I know kbb value on my NSX is $32,150 and that is for a 97 with 30,000 miles, not tremedously realistic.

$30k is what a 1991 NSX is selling for.

Unless the car is a dog, there is no way a 98 NSX will sell for $30K.

i was looking at this one, and i'm a SC300 n00b, i'm usually looking at supras and have a supraforums account (very active member), and people there have SC300's, and one cought my eye

Well all I can tell you is that not only is it possible, it has happened. I will talk to my friend again just to confirm the actual price he got it for but I am almost certain it was that.

I'm thinking $13,000 for the 98 SC
about $8,000 for the 93 SC

no probably not, that's a decent deal. I thought you were selling it. I'd run a carfax on it though.

There are many reasons why it could be low prices.. You need to know how the car has been driven.

If I was your friend, I would sell the NSX and make a quick $15,000 then .

He probably could...but honestly we both know it wouldnt be a quick 15k. I dont think many people are looking at buying NSX's. He just got lucky Im sure. I dont know anything about the guy he bought it from but you never the circumstances involved in a sale. Maybe he wanted to get rid of it for what he owed before he lost it to his wife in a divorce. I dont doubt the car is worth more, but honestly its only worth as much as someone is willing to pay...

Carfax is clean on it. Its a good deal, nothing wrong with it at all.
