Exclamation

Ok guys, I really need you on this one. I got home from work today, parked the car, starting walking into my house and turned around and there was a liquid pouring out from under my car. I backed it up and wiped my hands over the liquid. It seemed like water. What could that be??? Pleeeaaasssse help me. I haven't driven it since and there was no leak of any sort before this happened a half hour ago. It was leaking from the under the center of the hood. If I had to put a direction to it, I would say the front driver's side.

I've been bugging my parents to let me buy a used car for about 5 years, and they have always been wary. They finally let me buy this Lexus (with my own hard earned money). I really don't want to have to eat my words and guarentees.

Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanx.

p.s. its not windshield cleaner fluid because there was none in there.

90% chance it is condensation.

Drive the car the same way as you did last time without the AC and see if you get the same water. I bet you don't.

Default I love you guys!!

My neighbor saw me drooping and asked what's wrong--he said the same thing "condensation". But I was hesitant, but hearing it from you guys makes me feel a lot better. It was not a humid day but it was hot and I was running the AC. It looked to be almost a quart of water...is that normal? Should I expect to soak my garage floor everytime I park after a hot day? Has anybody else noticed this with their SC? Maybe I should buy some kind of absorbent mat to keep on the garage floor if I should expect this every day?

Kamil

p.s. He noticed my engine coolant was low when he opened the hood and said for now I should just fill it with water...um...any comments?

Unhappy still leaking

sup guys its been a while since that huge water leak but something is still leaking. Ever since that day, I have been noticing small droplets of fluid under the car when I am leaving a newly parked spot. When I touch the corner of the underside of the paneling next to the front driver side wheel, it is usually wet after I finish driving.

This is without using the A/C and driving on dry roads (Southern California). It still feels like water and not some other fluid. What could it be? What fluids should I check?

Thanks

What car is it? SC300? SC400?
What is the color of the water?
Look inside the hood after you drive the car for a while. trace the wetness from the driver side that you're seeing to the source. Does the drive belt seem wet also? Where else under the hood seem wet?
What's the temp. gauge inside shows when you drive? Is it at about 3 PM position? is it closer to 2 PM? How is the radiator resevoir level since the last time you fill it up?
Could it be that your windshield washer tank is leaking?
