Lose the capitals man - horrible to read.

As for losing the top - I think it looks great. Pretty expensive though

I think the SC300/400s are made for convertible as well! they just look right with one unlike a lot of cars out there. I think hard top is by far the pick but convert. is badass.

I also think the SC as a convert. is hot...esp that white one that OLT posted pics of. Just curious, once cut, is the ragtop functional? or does it have to be manually pulled up / put on...i was thinking of maybe doing this too...in the far future...

I will ask him for an estimate. and post up. He did a convert job on a 2nd gen acura legend coupe back in the days. this is a very similar setup.

I saw pix of that Legend, or one someone else did. It was insanely hot. I bet the SC would look better than the Legend too!

The cost will be roughly 3000- 3500 to cut the top, reinforce the chassis, and cap and paint the area where the cut/welds were made. this price does not include the folding top.

The only real convertible that I would ever consider would be the hardtop convertible, forget that softtop crap.

If I could find a place that would do it for 3000-3500 I would drive out there and do it immediately... I'd go with a black top and paint the rest of the car black, though. I've always been thinking about making the SC a 'vert... was also thinking about trading it in for an slk230, but I wouldn't have to do that if I made the SC a convertible
