Question

SO it is just one problem afyer another. I have draind the trasmission fluid. It is a 5 speed then i go to fill the tranny and low and behold the fill bolt is striped enough taht i do not think that i could not get it off with out making things worse. SO the million dollor question is how do i get the fluid back in. Can I go through the shifter or do i have to take it some where and have them get the bolt out? Rember i have to tow it any where i take it because it has no fluid in it.
Thanks
ethan

Don't feel bad, the same thing happend to me just a few weeks ago. I refilled the oil through the drain plug. By using a plastic hose (around 3/8") and wraping the end with tape to make a plug I added the oil. You have to quickly remove the hose and replace the drain plug, but you can then drive it to a transmission shop for permanent fix. This method is a lot of trouble and pretty messy, but you don't have to tow to the shop. Hope this helps.
David.
