Question

Hey, does anyone here know much about Swiftracing Lexus performance parts. I am debating on whether or not to purchase the Intake/ECU upgrade from them. Thanks, Adam

I know enough of swift-racing to know that they don't offer an intake/ecu combo for the '95 SC400. I hear they will be working on one soon.

Out of all the Lex intake/ecu combos, from what i've heard and testimonials, I would have to rate the the swift-racing package as the best. I will definitely be buying that package when it's released for the '95 SC400; even if it delays my timeline to buy a body kit.

Swift Racing is probably the only honest, and reliable shop that I would ever buy from. Over the years I've seen nothing but positive remarks about all of their products. I have their torque converter and it was worth every damn penny of it too.

Question Questions about aftermarket torque converter

pardon my ignorance, but is an upgraded torque converter like the SR one just good for acceleration from a dead stop? I think I understand the concept of a higher stall speed, but does this mod do anything for acceleration from a rolling start? How about taking off from about 30 mph? Do these TCs affect the longevity or reliability of your tranny/driveline?

To the best of my knowledge the TC gives it's gain primarily in "Off the line" performance. I do not notice any gain in shifting - that, to me, is a function of the transmission itself. But the TC gives so much of an off the line advantage, your biggest concern is managing the uncontrolabe tire spins when you hammer it! Even with 285 40 Firehawk's, I still light em' up if I'm not careful.

How much will my 0-60 time decrease if I purchase the SwiftRacing Intake/ECU upgrade? I believe it is now 6.9 stock. Also, how much HP and torque will be gained? Will it be 9-12% as all the others? And finally, what will Swiftracing be selling it for?

P.S. Will Swiftracing be selling any body kits in the near future for SC's?

Thumbs up Hermosa

wow, nice to hear from the big dogs once in a while!
Will the development be applicable to just the SC400s or will it also include the SC300?
I too am looking for a rear spoiler and possibly more body kits. ANything to offer for the SCs?

Thumbs up It's coming

We are very pleased with the support we have received from the Lexus community thus far. Our work is far from being over, as we are ready to take the competition head on. Trust me, the best is yet to come.

We also are excited about our new line of peformance products for the older generation Lexus vehicles. I guess I had a lot to do with that since I have a '92 SC300 with some old legs, but still running strong. As far as the high Flow/Ecu Intake product is ocncerned, expect the pricing to be similar to our existing intake product offerings.

Look out for news regarding our new facility located in Beltsville, MD. A Grand Opening is coming soon...so watch for it, as well as a totally revamped internet site ta' boot. Please feel welcomed to ask me questions @ my email msmith@swiftracing.com

Thanks again guys & gals.
