Default New hood on my SC

I just got my new Varis CF hood from the Japanese office thursday. I haven't had it on long enough to notice changes in coolant temps from the vent but the weight difference is definatly apparent when driving. (36lbs lighter than the OEM hood) Fitment is excellent. (like OEM) The carbon weave has no flaws and is perfect 2x2 weave. The underskeleton is like OEM and the hood is nice and rigid like it should be. It also comes with a removable rainguard. (which i promptly removed hehe) The finish is flawless and UV coated but I think I'm going to get a UV clearcoat just to be safe.

If you're interested in one for your car, LuxuryMods, a forum sponsor, is a Varis dealer and I'm sure they would be more than happy to assist you in ordering one: www.luxurymods.com

I like the hood... don't know how well it works with the stock body, you got other plans?

yeah, it works with stock the lines of the car but needs something to complete the body more...

This is what i have in mind:

The Team Target / Phenix Auto Center kit

I also have the vertex front wide fenders sitting in the garage waiting for my wheels...

Reading 'all three of Roo's CF hood threads (was it really deleted twice?) I see people saying that they don't like it but I think they are only following a certain trend of 'keepin it classy'

Well when you mod, you gotta take it to the next level and break barriers, no matter what style you're going with, whether it is oem/clean, classy, vip, aggressive, or show car.

I see the style that Roo's going with and I definitely give him props, I would say that I would prefer to keep my car in the 'elegant' category but he is definitely modding his car all the right ways, I personally think it is aburd for any negative comments at this point, especially at such an early stage of his project.

Roo, an original Varis CF made hood, original Vertex wide fenders? Definitely want to know more about this project, what rims are coming in!!!

edit : I guess I'll be the first to say, "too bad they left holes for the windshield sprayers"
