1) what is the dimensions of the stock speakers?
2) what are the largest size speakers and the stock sub thati can fit in each loacation without cutting?
3) should i go with coax, 2wy, 3wy, or full range?
thanks! =)

4" in the front doors, .75" tweeters in the front
4" in the rear deck
10" sub in the rear deck.
You have to cut to put anything bigger in there. I really wouldn't reccomend putting a sub back in that spot....put a small box in the trunk with a 10 or 12 and leave the factory sub out for airflow. It will sound MUCH better that way.
You can easily cut/break the plastic front speaker mount boxes in the door to fit a 5.25" speaker, I've got pics of the entire process when I did it, only took about 20min. per door.
As for speakers to use....it's all up to you. I would get a componet set, and mount the tweeters and minds in the factory spots....keeps the factory look. In the rear it's up to you, I don't even have rear speakers, just subs in the trunk. I had some Alpine's in the back, but they got blown to ***** from the air from the subs. It sounds perfectly ok without a rear stage....the fronts are plenty loud

Wiz,
Can you send me the pics of your front door speaker modification?
mrwigggles@yahoo.com
I can't belive they are 4" speakers. How in the world they got 4" speakers to sound that good is beyond me.
I also plan to change to 5 1/4" speakers like yourself in the front doors but I would like to keep the factory amplifiers and/or crossovers. Do you know where those are located in the doors? Are the crossovers all passive? Or do they have electronic crossovers and seperate amps for the tweeters and 4 inch woofers?
Any info would be appreciated.

I'll send you the pics soon as I get home....I don't think I've got 'em on my laptop here.
The factory crossovers are passive, and they're located inside of the speaker-box in each door. When taking it apart you'll see what I mean. The amp for them is under the CD changer in the trunk (well if you have Pioneer, not sure about the Nak system)
