Yea i have rims, fully balanced, the tires still have like 60% tread in the rear (even more in the front) and I don't know the suspension's condition, but its never really had a problem before.

What size and how wide are your rims?

The wider your rims, the more chance you have of hydroplaning.

The dip, combined w/ the water, and possibly your wheel width contributed to you hydroplaning.
