Greetings room!
I'm frustrated:
About 3 years ago the passenger seat stopped sliding on the rails correctly ['93 SC400] as you try to move the seat forward/backward. The left rail moved under the seat but the right one was frozen. Attempting to move the seat forward only resulted in the seat skewing, with the left side going forward 1" or less and the right 0".
The seat was essentially locked into the backmost position (NOBODY but a newborn could sit in the back seat!!).
Lexus fixed it under warranty.
It happened again 2 days ago!! Grrrr...anyone else have this happen (at least once)?
I'm calling Lexus tomorrow AM to get it fixed again. I'll confirm if the last service was because of the right rail too.

Same exact problem as before! I'm scheduled to go to Lexus Monday, but last time they did this they replaced the seat motor. It was 3 years ago, and I remember them telling me all they did was replace the seat motor.
Funny, back then the motor "worked" the same way as it does today and I remember thinking "How could this be the motor?"
If anyone could offer me advise on how to remove the seat I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks all!

I have a similar problem with my car.
But on mine the right side will move about four or five inches but as you move it all the way back it starts to skew like your talking about.
It isn't that serious but the guy who had it before me had the problem fixed a year ago and it is still a problem now.

Greetings forum! Thank you very much for everyone's help.
I realize I have another thread about this, so I just wanted to past my final response in here for the benefit of anyone in the future needing this information.
If anyone needs help with this problem, email me at whitmanpc1@mediaone.net
Post below:
Fixed! Get a second opinion (vs. Lex dealer!)
Just a tip:
If you have a mechanic you can trust or are somewhat handy, check it out before you let Lexus replace "the whole thing".
I found a loose plug screw in the assembly that drives the rails forward and back. Basically I tightened it and put it all back together...works perfectly!
Lexus would have replaced the whole underside assembly (over $1000) or just the motor (again) and charged me $450 plus labor!
Okay, now I have enough for those leather seats!
