Anyone out there understand the physics of how the AFM works, interfaces with the car and other data, please get a hold of me or post what you know.
I am wondering about the APEXi Super AFC.

Do you have a larger intake also? How easy was it to install the apexi? Do you think if I pulled the existing AFM from the housing and relocated it within a larger 3.5 inch pipe, the apexi could help compensate?
did you get a hp increase?

Well I have a heat shield and cone filter, with cold air induction. I don't have a larger pipe to go from the AFM to the engine, that's stock.
The install wasn't too bad, and would be very easy for you...I say this because I've been thru the install, and can write out the directions. I'm actually going to create a webpage showing the steps in installing it...when I get time. I've been so friggin busy the past couple weeks it's been impossible to get anything done.
I am taking pics of *everything* that I'm doing to me car, and will post pages on each step of the way as I get time. I'm going to have a fully illustrated "chiltons" manual on my website by the time I'm done...lol
Anyways, I use the S-AFC right now to raise the amount of fuel the engine gets. With the cold air induction and free-flow airfilter, the car runs a little lean (since theres MUCH more air available). So I tuned it to add a little (5%) more fuel thru the entire curve.
Once I get the nitrous fully installed, I'm going to have the S-AFC add about 25% more fuel when at 100% throttle, and between 3k and 7k RPM's. That will make it much safer to run a 150hp shot without blowing up the engine. This is on top off the %10 that my nitrous kit automatically adds to the mix, so 34% more will be added when I'm on nitrous.
I've put in a supra TT fuel pump, and the lexus service tech actually told me that the stock injectors can flow PLENTY of fuel for what I need. The supra pump would do the trick.
