What are your thoughts on the crossover pipe coming in front of or under the engine? I still can't find a configuration I am happy with for the power steering pump side of the car.

Fred,

You can lobe a the exhaust from the OEM header (take the cats out) under the car with 2.25 to 2.5" and joining it in the battery area to do a single turbo. Removal of the battery and fuse box should have enough room for a T76. However, you will not able to lower your car.

Here is another picture where two turbo inlets come in.

Lextreme,
Have you seen the Crown Royal Saloon 1UZ manifold...Great for modification...4 outlets with loose mounting plates going to 1 pipe...no good for flow,,but usefull for cutting the ends off and useing...

AussieSoarer: what difference would running slicks on the dyno make?

I would be looking for a graph with torque corrected for speed.

Fred,
Think about this......Do you see a Drag car running down the Strip on 19" Low Profile tyres ???

Of course not, but yous need GRIP on a drag strip for high speed launches.
Do yous rev it to 5 grand and sidestep the clutch in first gear on the dyno?
Yous will only need slicks on a dyno when traction becomes a problem due to MASSIVE power, and insufficient downforce on the drive wheels. I'm talking up around the 800+ rwhp area. If yous can spin your back tyres with a 6psi supercharger on a 4L V8 in 1:1 gear roll-on on a dyno, check the rollers for oil. Drag slicks do not give yous more power.

Also, I would not expect the UZZ31 to make much more power than the UZZ32 on the dyno. The hydraulic suspension pump is hardly doing any work while the car is still. What are yous going to tell me next, the '31 will make more power because it is lighter? I would have doubts buying a supercharger from someone who says "wear slicks on the dyno because yous wear em when yous drive down the strip hey".

that setup never ran right. It's true that it made power... but there was oil control problems with the bottom mounted turbos... since then the setup has been scrapped.

he had problems with oil flow. I think he used 2 pumps one for feed and one for return. if the turbos went on top then there would only be need for 1 pump to pump the oil to the turbo and gravity will do the return... he couldn't control this flow and if i remember correctly he ruptured the lines once or twice. He tried to make a custom oil flow controller which didn't work out.... also on stock height the turbos were about 3 inches from the ground... which meant this setup was only for recreational vehicles and for those who live in non-snow and good road places.

there is definitely no room for 1 huge turbo without losing something

i would go with 2 small turbos....

fuse box does not need to go to the trunk... just moved back

battery needs to go to the trunk.
