Question Whats the difference between SC's (92-00)?

What are the big differances between the 92-97 SC300 and the 97-00 SC300, besides the rear tailights? Will the rear tails of the 97-00 fit the 92-97?
I am in the process of purchasing one and need to know which way to go. The 97 is nice and has a lot of miles, a lil bit more expensive and wont be able to mod it much. The 92 is in ok shape, needs some work, but price is a lot less and I can mod it much more due to it costly a lot less. Which way should I lean? 92 or 97?

I need your help SC gurus...

mine does

...but it's on it's last leg anyway. Better to upgrade to current technology if you have the funds and inclination

I think you should go for 97 for a couple of reasons

1.) Has new bodystyle with great fogs
2.) has a few more bells and whistles
3.) Last year of the slightly modded 1uz non VVT-i and first year of new bodystyle
4.) You will need to gain around 30 HP in the 92-95 just to keep up stock with the 96-97's.

97's are just sooo hot, get it!

1 and 2 or right, but paying alot less for a older one will give u more room to mod the exterior. 3&4 doesnt matter. he said sc300 not 400. look for a 5 speed if u can find one. worth more down the line

woops, my bad

But between 92 and 97 id pick the 97, and because your looking for a 300, id keep a look out for a 95 like kietlander suggested.
