Default Jacking points (I searched)

Well I did a search on jacking point and yes i know its the front cross member and the differential.

But for confirmation, does anyone have a picture from the service manual? When I searched for that picture, the links were all broken. Thanks for any help.

are you referring to the jacking part on the side? like if you were to try and replace a flat? if it is, then take a look under the car alongside the sideskirt area. you'll see a tab that runs down from the front to the rear. on those tabs, there's a part behind the front wheel and in front of the rear wheel where there are notches. in between those notches are where you jack up.

I'd feel a little iffy about jacking it up from those parts. When ever I need the front or the rear jacked up I use the tow hooks. I feel much safer with the tow hooks. Then you put a jack stand underneath just to keep it safe.

He wants to jack up the front / rear end at one time... both wheels off the ground at the same time.

I too would be interested with this information.

What rating jack are you using? I purchased a 3-Ton but had to bring it back since it was impractical to store and lift... I have a raincheck for a 2 1/4 ton jack but don't know if that would be enough for the whole rear/front end.

yea..i have a bottle jack thats supposed to be good for 6 tons...yes..its a beast...the sad thing is..the car is soo low that i can't even fit the thing under the car at those notch points...lol...but i would think that you could put the car on stands somewhere besides those notches....stands prolly wont work that well there anyways....

now....ramps seem to work really well for when i raise the front end...ive never done it, but i'm sure you could use four ramps...one for each tire...as long as the rear ramps fit under the car...i'm sure they will..unless you're really lowered...of course this dosen't help with taking the wheels off or anything like that..
