Default A/C Control Problem...

Today the AC unit was working fine, i didnt use it today though, but the part where it shows the air direction was still on the LCD screen. i get back into my car tonight, and the unit lit up with my headlights on and such, but not the part where it shows where the air is going, and there wasnt the green light above either inside air or outside air. I pushed anyone of the buttons and nothing works; air, heater, defrost, nothing. I looked in the manual and fuse number 2 in the driver kick panel shows that thats the fuse that controls the AC system and window defogger. Anyone else experience this? Im going to go replace the fuse tomorrow.

my display doesnt work, as well as other functions. i think your problem might be more then a fuse?

nnnick, I am having the same problem with my Climate Control Unit. The backlight was working, and the air direcection part, but the unit itself didnt work. Sometimes though, It would just turn on and work perfect while I was driving down the road. I checked my fuse, it was fine. I took the CCU out of my car and smashed it (I was pissed). Im having a working one shipped to me. Ill let you know if it works.

been asking around nick and some mechanics have told me it might be a control valve whatever the heck that is. Mind you I'm a girl ok, I don't know what the heck that is. Someone pls clue me in. I think I'm going to have to surrender to bringing it in

Your problem is probably in your heater control unit. Common problem.
Do a search here, these is a way you can bypass the heater control unit and it that gets your heater working you will then know your control unit needs replacing.
