Refering to the picture in post number 10, the wires you are looking for are in the wiring harness that runs from the trunk, through the back seat.. Start by moving the broken wires up next to the wiring harness and this will get you close to the spot where the wires exit the harness. Then un-wrap some of the black electrical tape and eventually you'll find the other end of the broken wires.
After the wires broke, they probably recoiled a bit and pulled up into the wiring harness. You may have to use a knife to cut some of the electrical tape away. Be careful and make sure you don't cut yourself (wear gloves) or any additional wires.
