Sorry I did not see this post earlier. Great looking car as I mentioned on 3SI and really look forward to some daytime pics with those wheels. I have been dying to get my 19's on the VR-4 and am very seriously considering a swap after seeing yours. For you guys that do not know, Blk97 had a beautiful 2nd Gen 3000GT VR-4 that was totalled in an accident, but a very quick car. I am sure the SC will have some more serious mods to soon follow. Once you have experienced forced induction, it is hard to let it go

Allen, what city are you in? Car looks good by the way...I personally am not a fan of putting other automaker's stock wheels on a Lexus but hey, if it's better than stock and you love it then that's all that matters.

As for the '97 front lip, I believe there is one...but I can't remamber offhand if it's Erubuni, Wise, Wald, or some other brand. Use the search field up top and you might stumble across it.

Welcome to the club!

And JT, the Injen makes a cool racing sound...that's what it's good for! ha ha ha!

I've had it for about 2 weeks, and already modded it a little:

Injen Intake
Eibach Springs (1" drop)
18" 3000GT VR4 wheels (18x8.5" with 255-40zr18 tires)
Cross Drilled / Slotted rotors
6000K HID's
Tint (20% up front, 15% rears)
JIC Dual Exhaust is on the way

And I got rid of the "Gold package" garbage- I painted the emblems gloss black

I'm pleased with the looks and performance of the car with those mods... for now After all, it does have a 2JZ motor, and it's definately got some pretty good potential with a bolt on turbo kit, or even a full turbo 2JZ swap. That will eventually happen, but she'll probably be NA for at least a few more months.

Question- anyone know if there's a front lip available for a 97 sc300? I've seen them for the 92-96, but does anyone make a lip for the 97+?

I used to have a 95 3000GT VR-4 that ran 11.70 @119 mph- but I definately want to eventually be faster than that with the SC300. Let me know what you guys think of the new car...

$500-550 depending on dealer. Even less if you got the hook up.

thanks for all the quick replies. I called Speed Alliance, but got no response (closed for the Holiday weekend), but did get a response from Wholesale Performance. The guy I spoke with said he could get the front lip, it will fit a 1997, but it might take anywhere from 4-8 weeks to arrive... sometimes even longer. Price= $509. A bit on the expensive side (for a front lip), but there's WAY too much ground clearance up front, so it'll be worth it.

I'll give them a call back on Tuesday and check on availability one more time... hopefully it won't take too long to get. Good thing is that I dont have worry about shipping charges- the shop is only about 20 minutes away from me

JspecSC3- yea, I couldn't help it Drop, rims, intake, HID's, gloss black emblems, tint, and the JIC exhaust will arrive in about 2 weeks. I can't wait for that damn exhaust!

mikeloc24- I'm in Glendale.

Future plans for this thing will probably be either a NA-T kit (BoostLogic), or possibly even a complete 2JZ-GTE swap. I'll keep you guys posted with any new mods. Thanks again for all the replies, compliments, and sources for the Vertex front lip.
