Did the 2000 SC's come with high beam assembly doubling as a DRL? I saw an SC4 today, 97+ and it had the high beam assembly on as DRLs. Just curious, I had never seen an SC with DRL before.

Yep. DRL's were added to the 98-00 models. Some people prefer them off...but I like them.

On the GS, DRLs were added mid year in 1999, I suspect its the same on the SC. 1998 did not have them, some 1999s do not.

Personally, I didn't enjoy the look much. Makes the front look WAY too much like the civic Del Sol when those lights are on, as if the civic Del Sol didn't already look enough like the SC.

personally, i love the way it looks... i've noticed that without drl's, most people don't even realize that there are functional lights in that location between the headlights. my car is a 1995 and i made my own drl mod without losing high beam functionality. i added a set of piaa superwhite bulbs to the high beam light,ran the wiring and viola! - instant drl's. to me, i think it compliments the double hid (fog & headlight) combination in the front end.

Nextlevel, did you add another switch inside to control the on/off for the DRL?

no.... the drl's come on when the car is started. it is wired to the ignition...

no... the headlight and the fogs are hid. The drl's are just ( wedge bulbs) that come when the ignition is turned in the on position....just like stock drl's. the high beams are seperate and still function as such.

My 92 has DRL.... I'm in Canada. They use the 9006 bulbs (low) so it looks fine.
