Hey everyone, this is my first time doing an opinion thread so be gentle with me...I'm a virgin.
I've been contemplating changing my kit. Either changing the sideskirts to better match the front and rear OR changing the rear to the 97+ to match the sideskirts. Which would you do?

 

i think using the mix and match (old style front bumper, wise lip, 97 sides, rear lip) you did a really good job of getting everything looking really clean. isn't you rear lip for sale in the classified? but if your really bored maybe get the 97+ front bumper (sell me the wise lip lol) or possibly the AC kit, as that kit would probably match your clean mod taste.

 

Are you going to repaint the whole car or just the new kit? I think that can determine whether it's worth it or not.

I like the rear, but our front bumpers are looking dated, even with a lip. I'd say get a new front and leave the rear for now. See how that looks.

Oh, and take those things off of the trunk lid.

 

just get the wise side and rear to match the lip, other wise id say just get the 97+ rear to match up the side.

 

No, I'm not paiting the whole car. If I ever do repaint it will be the same beautiful platinum color.

WHat things on the trunk? You mean my Soarer Griffrin and Christian fish? No way, they stay.

 

if you want to keep the front lip then i would suggest upgrading the side skirts.. otherwise i think it looks fine..

btw.. if you decide to upgrade your side skirts, dibs on your '97's!

 

Personally, I would go with a 97 rear bumper with the 97 skirts.. I think it'll look great with your wise front lip.. 97 door moldings will help and ton also.. But, I still feel your car looks great the way it is..Why mess with something thats not broken?

The most cost effecitve would be to sell the 97+ sides and get some sides that come down lower.

If cost is not a problem 97+ with AC kit all around

 

You do have one of the most unique setups, and that's what I admire about your car.
People have always suggested you get different sides, but you didn't have a problem before, so why now?

I'd say keep it as, BUT I do understand the need for change, maybe you haven't done any mods for awhile and your gettign itchy?

In which case my opinon is to get different sides.

Honestly, I like your car the way it is. IMO, you should get the 97 Tails and lower the car a little more.

 

I agree . its beautiful just like it is Reggie. But like he said , if you are just itching to do some kind of mod , we can all understand that.
For almost everyone elses SC i would suggest the updated front, But for some reason i cant bring myself to suggest it in your case. Maybe because its the look that i first fell in love with about our cars? But theres is something unique and special about it.
If you change anything, I would say going with the Urabani sides or similar type sides perhaps would even it all out.
