Getting a SC300 this weekend - need advice
Hello,
I need to get an SC300 by today or tomorrow, searched Autotrader.com and found lots of crappy ones out there. Im on a $8000 budget to get an SC. I narrowed down to two prospects. One is a 1992 Gold color and in great shape but it has almost 160k miles. Price is $6450. Timing belt replaced is unknown, so I will need to get that done. Im also not crazy about the color. Here is a link to the car:
Gold Lexus
Then there is a dark green 1992 with 102k miles and timing belt has been changed.
$7498. Both seem to be in great shape.
Green Lexus
Im planning to lower the car and get some RPM 505 19-inch wheels.
How much typically is to change the timing belt?
Also at 159K miles, assuming the car has been well maintained, are these miles to worry about? I know the SC400's can go past 200K miles. Is the SC300 engine also as reliable?
Thanks!

You can find them cheaper on Autotrader.com or Cars.com.
I have 189k on my SC300 and it runs perfect. Remember, you aren't buying a Dodge... you are buying one of the most reliable cars made. Mileage should be secondary to whatever color scheme you want.
