You can do a search but i'll be nice today. 1jz was offered in soarers in japan and some other cars chasers mkiii etc. it's a 2.5 twin turbo inline 6. Stock SC300 engine is the 2jzge. 3.0 inline 6. TT supras came with 2jzgte. Twin Turbo Inline 6.

IMO, 1JZ motor is not worth buying. 2.5 Litre motor that needs to be rev'ed high to make any real power. Sure it is cheap but if you need like a map sensor or things like that, you will have a field day locating those parts. The turbo comes with two ceramic turbo's that easily break when approaching 13-14psi. It comes with baby injectors also. The good thing is that the motor is hard to break. The JDM 2JZGTE is almost the same concept of the 1JZ but it is 3 Litre's which is better but, it also uses a map sensor. The good thing though, all the parts are interchangeable except the map sensor as I mentioned above. Here is a good/bad thing depending on your preference, most of the jdm 2JZGTE come with auto tranny. The 2JZGE (non vvt-i), is a good motor. Also a dime a dozen. The block is almost identical to the GTE. It has the same rods and the block is virtually the same. The only differences is the pistons being high dome and no oil squirters. The squirters don't mean anything any how. The bad thing about turboing the GE, is the cost of the turbo components. If you get all new parts, you could buy a JDM GTE two times. So, you are looking at like $5,000 to be running safely and be quick. Here is the dilemna. The GE auto or 5 speed gearbox can only safely take 350whp (which is still fast IMO). This is looking at it in the long run if you want to have a running car.
The best way to make your decision as to what motor to get is, ask yourself what kind of car you have and what kind of hp you want?![EEK!](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/eek1.gif)
Oh yeah, one more thing. The 1JZ, 2JZGTE, and 2JZGE are all Straight 6, not V6.
