Default New SC300 owner here!

I've been lurking for a month or two, doing some research on the SC, and I finally picked one up 2 weeks ago. So I thought I'd say what's up and post up some pics...

I'm planning a 1JZ swap next month, to make this a much more enjoyable daily driver. Plus I've been spoiled by my FD so I need to get some more spunk out of the SC.

Yep, '95 5-speed. I'll be doing the swap. I usually stick with building and tuning rotaries but I've been known to dabble into the piston engines here and there. I bought the FD as an automatic, all it came with was the body work and wheels otherwise it was stock...damn thing also blew an apex seal 4 days after I bought it. It has since been converted into a 5-speed, with a half-bridgeport, Haltech E6K, Turbonetics T66, and some other goodies. Everything done by me except for the porting, that was done by my buddy. Haven't dyno'd it but its quicker than a halfie 400-hp FC I owned before it.

Dyno run of my FC...

I'll be keeping the 5-speed until I can get the parts together for a R154 swap. But the stock engine will be for sale after I get the swap done. If you're serious about buying the engine, I'll let you know when its ready to be sold.

Nice FD, I love rotaries, had 4 FC's myself. Are you on rx-7 club? Can I ask who did your porting? I miss my FC =( but just couldn't afford it anymore, and clean SC, I have a '93 stick but its far from being clean as yours. Everytimg I take a corner in this car it feels like a tractor compared to my FC, but hey, its almost 1000 lbs heavier, couldn't say I wasn't expecting that.

I see you like to run on willow springs. Do you go there often? I drop by time to time.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Dough Boi, I'm over on RX7Club as "mazpower". Dave (GuitarJunkie28) did my porting, his first half-bridgeport was on the FC in the video posted above. He also does engine rebuilds and tuning, although both the FC and FD were built and tuned by me.

Luv Da Lex, there's about 147K on the engine as of right now. It runs smooth, no smoking or poor running. I'm in Palm Desert, which is 15 miles east of Palm Springs.

ldrewfelix, that was my first time on the big track at Willow. I've run at the Streets two other times, once in my buddy's Honda and another time in my FC. I'm headed back out to Willow for the Speed Ventures event on the 28th.

JSpecSC3, the track is in Rosamond, CA...near Lancaster & Palmdale, north of Los Angeles. Its Willow Springs.

Its only 2 hours or so, if I take the back way (Pearblossom Hwy, 138 IIRC). I doubt I'll ever sell the FD, its too much of a thrill to drive.
