Default Well....

SxyLxy sorry bro. I had been looking for this EXACT car for 10+ months. The right mods, color, and everything. The moment I saw it I had an airline ticket in may hand and I was out the door.

It's all how bad you REALLY want something. I guess I have an unhealthy obsession with the SC of this body style. I have driven a FWD 13 second 1/4 mi. turbo car for 11 years now and never been in an accident. Front wheel drive are so damn easy to control. I practically have to E-Break it to get it sideways.
I banged it up the Lex twice now only driving it a handful of times. I think I need to learn to drift and drive RWD in general. I plan on doing so. And you can all bet that this wont happen again. If I does it certainly wont be because I was driving like a nut.
Anyway, someone wrote on the thread that just needed time to suck it up, get over it, and get another one. Well I’m still pissed at myself but I’m going to give in to what I want and i'm going to get another one. Thanks to all who wrote with words on encouragement. Because of my insurance being dicks, i'm loosing 12k on the car and the driver of the truck is suing me because the damage is supposedly more than my insurance will pay. So i'm out a grip of $$$ but life goes on. Just like the monster drive train in this SC will live on in another car.

I'm asking for a little help in finding one. If anyone knows of a 97+ 5spd SC300 with good body and paint that I can buy in the SW region of the US please send me a link or email lfrers@adelphia.net. I would greatly appreciate it.

I think several months in the garage working my butt of to do a drive train and interior swap will teach me not to drive like such an ***. Not to mention all the $$$ I could have at least spent in a Mexican strip club!

well the good thing is that ur ok, im on my 2nd sc now, i upgraded from a 92 to a 97 both 5spd, in the 92 i was in 2nd gear commin around a corner and the rear end just came around because there was oil on the road (not just me, my friend crashed his 240sx also and its in the police report) but the crash wasnt bad, body work wise, some frame dmg cuz i hit at an angle, after though every thing ran rough but its such a great car, i cant thing of anyother car i would replace it with , with the same layout and price, impossible, just keep searching ebay lol and gL, btw what did u have as mods on ur caR?

Interesting that the driver is suing YOU and not your insurance. Also.. from the looks of it your car was heavily modded. Get this car back, dont let them tow it! Especially if you dont have full coverage, which sounds like you dont!

I repeat it is esential whether you intend to keep the car or not that you DO NOT let your insurance company keep this car under any circumstances!!!!

Even if you intend not to use the turbo kit, and etc, you can sell off a few parts and put it ina new fund for a stock SC300. To paraphrase my favorite batman movie, reason we fall is so we can get back again!

I still find it hard to believe that hte guy is suing you and not your insurance company....

Live and learn get a stock 5 speed sc300 or if you want even a slow trainer nimble rwd car like a rx7, 240sx etc etc. ANd have fun with it, autox it, track it, etc etc! You will have more fun with a stock car this way then you would with a turbo one right of the bat!

That's good driving, but that looks extremely irresponsible. I hope nobody tries this out. Keep it on the track.

As far as learning to drift, there's always Drift Day and stuff like that. If you want to just go out on a track and learn about your car and its limits, you can try Speedventures, SpeedtrialUSA, and a whole lot of other groups that organize track days.

Default .

I thought the same thing. Excellent driver. But messed up how he risked everyones life like that. I'm sure he passed a lot of families on their way to grandmas house. Could have been disastrous.

Still a good driver. I'd want him driving the limo if I were Bill Gates.

I think Im headed the Pimp way too.

I've had a T61 Powered MKIV ( best car Ive had to date ) - 637 RWHP and a 550 AWHP 1995 GTR Skyline ( it was the only Midnight purple one in the US at the time )
and I think Im done with speed. Now I'm just thinking Rims ( provably some Blitz ) , an aftermarket Nav. system, and just creature comferts.

Im 35 years old so I want to see my kids have kids so I can make fun of them.
