Default Climate control question, not back lights or black screen

My climate control never worked, didn't light up anything and had the black screen of death, I just picked up another climate control from a forum member, and swapped the new one in, plugged everything up, and the whole unit lights up, back lighting and all, but theres no displays shown on the screen, its just a blank screen, and if I push any of the buttons none of the green indicator lights light up. Now, is this a problem with the unit itself, or something with the wiring? Or the on button? Fuses last I checked were good. Thanks in advance for any input.

-Minh

*edit* The car is a '93 and the climate control is from a '94.

Thank you very much OLT, I will go check the fuses, I hope its not a bad climate, as I just picked this one up. I checked all the fuses in the engine bay and in the interior last month and they were all fine.

You should only have to deal with the fuses in the drivers kick panel behind the carpet.

Only 2 sources of power to that unit buddy:

HTR fused from ignition switch and DEF .

Both run through the defogger relay.

Check the fuses like OLT said, but your problem may be with the Defogger relay.

If, you need help troublshooting from here let me know or check pages BE-190 + in your FSM

I figured I would check all, and well, turns out... stupid me for posting before checking the fuses again, turns out, just like everyone else, probably a coin dropped into my cigarette lighter and blew the fuse between the time I checked them before and now, everything works beautifully now. Thanks for the help OLT and Peter.
