I actually have a set right now which I'm trying to get a plastic place locally to make me some clear plastic to replace the yellow crap. If you search you find stuff about using CD cases and home depot stuff but um... that's not for everyone

Just used a 194 6-white LED bulb off ebay. The only thing is I've bought from 3 different ebay users before I found a white I like. They're all different so be careful!!

I heard that 194s may be too big and come in contact with the lense, eventually burning it. Sxylxy - post pics if you can.

Nope, just clear lighting diffuser panels from Home Depot. Same ones you have over your head at your school or office. They are finished in my signature gunmetal. Clear Lexan over that.

www.superbrightleds.com has a lot of that sort of stuff, including leds that go in place of stock bulbs.

If you custom make your LED array you can cram as many in there as you like.

I used a premade DOT unit for tractor trailers. It's easy, cheap, sealed, and built to last. It comes with 3 leds and it's DOT approved - so you know it's legal. Good enough for me and they have been working great for over a year now.

More details and pics on how to make your own:

So its just those pieces of plastic that go over those flourescent lights? How do you make the covers? Do you just cut out a piece that fits the sidemarkers and silicone them together?
