Default Alittle worried about buying these........

I did a search and a few people mention that buying the black pearl emblems off of ebay is a bad idea. I didn't see anything about the chrome emblems though. Does anybody have or had an experience buying these. I just gotta get rid of these ridiculous faded gold emblems. BTW, if you know anything about these emblems,,,,, hows the fit and size compared to stock.

I once purchased an "L" emblem off Ebay and it came with the wrong mounting holes and was plastic.

You're better off getting your emblems from the dealer. At least then you'll know that the chrome wont make your hands turn green and they will mount up perfectly on your stock location.

Those are crap the "Lexus" emblem won't bend to the shape of your SC due to the emblems being discontinued.

dont pay 25bucks for some of those... the ones at the hobby shops are only 5 bucks and they work fine... jsut make sure u take your time ...it takes about 3o mins to do a few coats .. but a couple hours to dry and make sure they are DRY!!use a blow drier if you dont wanna wait

Great feedback. Thanx for all the input. I guess i'll try to spray them black with a nice finish. The only thing thats making me wonder is if the black emblems will go good with sandstone beige SC? BTW, theres no possible way to make my emblems look chrome is there?

Take them to a local place that does chrome plating. Try google. Even though buying new ones may be cheaper than having them re-plated. I'd either paint mine or buy a set from a source you trust.
