Default Broke the car at the track...PICS

Went to the track the other day so I can get a feel of the car. I was on low boost (15psi) and pump gas. I wasn't trying to get a good time or anything. I was just trying to get a feel of the car and see how it acts in 4th, since I don't really drive anywhere to test it. I was pretty much just trying to get a good Mph.

Anyway, I stagged next to Scott (Ki Soarer)in his bone stock 5 speed SC. He got me off the line haha. I bogged and got a ****ty 60 foot, lag lag lag, then when it it 4000 it took off, hit second, wheel hop wheel hop! clank clank clank!!! ahh shoot.....

I also noticed when I was under the car,the driveshaft hit the e brake cables and sliced them .

Peter

*thank god for driveshaft loops

Ouch That's Sucks.... Now It's Good Excuse To Get The Stronger Driveshaft... If Aviable... But Good Thing Anyother Things Not Damaged... It Could Be Nasty...
And Might Hurt Yourself Too...

Wow...Nice torque!
I guess I should try to lay off the wheelhop from now on.

Good luck with the repairs.

P.S. Why is your loop red? Is this not the first time?

Wow..... With my normally aspirated sc300 I couldn't snap the driveshaft with a plasma cutter...

Damn dawg, wtf. I have a extended driveshaft on my car and it hasnt busted yet, and i beat on the car regularly. Oh and welcome to the no ebrake club, mine hasnt worked for a year. A rubber mallot under the tire works great, lol.

The wastegate has a 1 bar spring in it. High boost is 27-33 PSI.

I dropped the driveshaft off at the local driveline place and it should be back next week.

What are they gonna do, wave their magic wand at it?
In all seriousness I've never heard of a driveshaft being repaired and coming out half as strong as it used to be, which in your case was not strong enough to begin with.

Wow! That's some power dude! yeah, how are they gonna fix it??? I would think replacement would be the only answer, especially on balance issues. Good luck!

They will just replace the broken section with a nwe pice of tubing and balance it. Quite simple and good as new
