Trunk popper is Quirky...
My trunk popper may need an adjustment. If I pop it from the inside and close a door, it's enough of a jarring to re-latch the trunk lid.
It's sooooo annoying to open the door, pop the trunk, then leave the door open to walk around to open the trunk, then shut the door.
And to top it all off, have my trunk lid accidentally shut on me after all that. It's like a Laurel and Hardy episode or something.
Anyone else have this problem or know of a quick fix?
My struts may be weak because my trunk keeps dropping lately.
Thanks in advance

You answered your qestion yourself. The struts with the springs are supposed to provide force counter to the gravity. IN your case the latch is not clearing the locking mechanism and any shake or pressure difference is enouhg to get it latched down.
Start by replacing the struts,
Salim
