Hi everyone. I'm a new member to Club Lexus. First off, just want to say thanks to the founder and all the people who put this website together. Great job, i found a lot of resources. Thanks! I got my car on craiglist for $5000. All Stock, 92 SC300, Automatic, 158k high mileage =(, Clean title, OEM Body. The reason i bought this car was because the car runs great, pearl white (i love this color), has a clean title and never been hit. I checked the body, and they all have original VIN number. I'm the third owner, but the previous two were women, took really good care of the car. I'm not sure if i got rip off, but overall i'm very satisfy with my purchase. I just spend $1700 getting a major tune up including timing belt, waterpump, brake & rotor and replacing a lot of old parts. Personally I think i got rip off there, but i was told Lexus parts are expensive. I'm planning to keep the car for a while, so i'm going to baby it. I'm not a rich guy, but make enough money to pay for the house and bills. So I won't be really fixing it up. But I'll probably do a little mod, posssibly some DIY stuff. Tint the windows and a set of 18" HP Evo or STERN ST-7. I just gave a car wash. Below are the pictures.
I think adding the stock front lip looks nicer
rear lip spoiler would look nice as well
Should I lower the car?
I need to clean the headlights
Planning to replace the gold emblem with the chrome ones
The needles for the center gauge are OUT. 158k high mileage =(
Interior looks clean, but the leather looks a bit worn out. Also there's a rip on the driver seat =(
These rims gotta go...they look very cheezy

Welcome to ClubLexus. You'll definitely find some good things here and more. For your wheels. My suggestion is looking in the wheels classifieds here for slightly used or new wheels. You'll find some really nice wheels from time to time. You'll find lots of goodies here to fix or update your car. Where in CA are you located? You should check out the local forums as well, we have meets throughout the year. Welcome again!!!

hey nice clean car. I know u don't want to hear it .. but I picked up my 92sc400 with 120k miles for $2500 a few months back.
I'm not going to pimp mine out, just keep it nice, clan and classic.

Welcome to the club! At ClubLexus you'll find all the answers to your questions. We are a forum like no other. I'd like to congratulate you on your new find. It looks clean. The interior looks to be in great condition also. You have a good project on your hands. When looking in the pictures I also noticed the houses in the background..where are you from? They look familiar to me.
