The mailman/woman never drive through toll.
They are also driving a commercial vehicle, and if anything happens, very different laws apply.
I think the big deal for RHD cars is safety. I, for example, couldn't steer with my right hand and shift with my left if my life depended on it.

I know of a guy in the San Jose area who had a RHD car imported from Japan. The only headache he had with registering it was the whole smog issue. I believe he spent a great deal of money to get it to pass. Another guy also imported a JDM RHD MK3 Supra. That thing was also properly registered. I think you just have to look more into the whole registration process for these vehicles. I also dont see what is so illegal about driving a RHD drive vehicle. The mailman/woman drive on the right hand side.

concerning all the other rhd cars like mk3 supra, mk4 supra, integra, civics, skyline. the reason those cars can easily be registered is because they have an US counterpart. well the skyline didnt until MOTOREX spent a huge amount of money crash testing a couple of skyline. so now on the dot epa, and nhtsa they have teh skyline on the list of importable cars. MOTorex is in a lot of heat because they crashed tested R32 skylines and not R33 and R34. they used the crash test data for the R33 and R34 which is a big no-no.
I love teh soarer wait to see it all modded.

ric.... how many cars have you imported? how many have you tried to import? where are you getting your info from? please post links to these laws so that everyone can be clear as day. im assuming your going off of things that companies have told you about importing cars.... well, they could be wrong, maybe not. just post links and everyone will be able to see for themselves. your stating these things as cold hard facts, and all we know is that "some guy on CL" said so....... not very concrete... i want evidence, and i think others do too.
