Is there a link to a FAQ about the Aplexi S-AFC. Or possibly a website that sells it so I can get some info on it.

Thanks,
Keith

Sure, go to www.apexi.com. LOL. They have manuals, information, and lots of pictures. Not only do those things look good, but they're also very helpful. I heard some N/A Supra guy gained 33 rwhp just by using the Apexi S-AFC. I got the guys AIM screen name, so I will find out if it is true and his settings. COOL!!!

That Apexi Super AFC looks like a neat little toy. I'm guessing that it works on pretty much everything. Now... I wonder what that will do for my car... *whips out wallet and runs for nearest performance shop*

I just confirmed it. This guy has an N/A Supra and he gained 29 rwhp just from getting the Apexi S-AFC. He has someone tune it for him on a dyno with an HO2 sensor.

hey Z, i think you mean O2 sensor. Let me know where you are getting the S-AFC from.....I'll get one at the same time.....maybe we can get a discount for buying two. Drivers Image qouted me $359 for the unit plus $125 for the install. Does that sound right?

Question install or install & dyno tune?

It is very easy to install, I can send pics if needed. just a few wires. Get an air/fuel gauge also - though you can get the readout on the AFC also by connecting an additional wire.

Hint: Use a switch and then you can get the readout from either O2 sensor.

2Lexos, it's worth it if you dont want to mess with it and includes the dyno tune. Where will you install it? I am working on my install and will post pics soon.

Well, i was thinking about removing the ashtray under the radio.....and installing the S-AFC there. Definitely send pics when you're done.

hey just make sure you do this tuneing all on dyno. this is the only true way to tell which need to increse or decrease. you can fine tune your air/fuel too. try to find a shop that has a dyno, usually if you ahve then install it, they will hook you up on the dyno and tune.

Yup, as soon as I get the S-AFC installed I will find a dyno shop and tune it.

Talking I got my S-AFC today

I paid $335 for it. What I'm doing now is trying to find out what changes I should be making. I don't know that I'm going to do a dyno run.. if I can manage to scrape up information on the 1UZ-FE (the V8) and what works for it I'm going to mimic a milder version of those settings and simply monitor the engine's behavior.

If anyone knows anyone heard anything etc etc about a pre-VVTi V8 using this thing post it on here. I'll be the guinea pig for you guys and give you mapping and tuning suggestions as I learn how to use this thing.

I got mine off of eBay for $175. He even gave me a second unused wiring harness and second mount for it. It was in perfect shape. I only had to download a manual for it from APEXi....his manual was in japanese!!
