Question

Hello again everyone...
Still searching for a 5 spd SC. Just had a quick question on traction control. Was it available on the 92-97 models? If so, is it a worthwhile option to get? I for sure want limited slip rear end. Do I have to get the traction control option to have this? Thanks alot!

I don't think any SCs have limited slip rear ends. I know for sure mine doesn't and I have traction control. Most of the people on this forum with an LSD are using one made for a Supra I believe.

Default 93 sc400 no LSD

The only LSD that came with this car was the stuff I found in the glove box!

Default LSD is important to me!

Hmmm, well... I was sure hoping that the SC-300 had a posi rear end. My 98 Camaro does not and it is a terrible car in wet weather because of it.

Post Traction Control Option!

My understanding is that the SC400 and SC300 only had 'traction control' as an option for all model years!

In all the Lexus brochures I have it is always listed as an 'Individual Option'.......

There is an after market 'traction control' option you can fit, its the same unit that Aston Martin and Lotus use.

The only US dealer I can find is this one.....

www.bavarianparts.com

If you call TRD (Toyota Racing Development) you should be able to get an LSD for your car, if they dont admit to having one for your car, try telling them you have a JZZ31 Soarer.....(its the same car!)

ya I have traction control on my 92 sc400, I dont know about the LSD. The traction control is really good, it handles like a mother with it on, but I never use it because I enjoy sliding and skidding. (Unless its snowing outside)
