Then you have to REHEAT it to put it back together. Ill never do it again unless $ is involved. Hows the light pattern?? Beautiful! Better then OEM.

Man..... u could just open your threads with "look at my new mods"... modesty and humility go alooooong way bro

Its funny very few things that are percieved as "never being done before" have truly "never been done before".....lol

There is a 1JK in there, has been for almost 6 months

It def looks different, makes it look more "modern". I have both my cars parked next to eachother and its night and day. The originals look so old, and with the diffuser removed makes em look modern. I need to find a wrecked SC tho so i can steal a few light sockets so i wire both the inside and outside red lights as "parking" lights instead of just the outside. Still no pics, ill get batterys tonight after work.
I ruined a pair of mechanics gloves, a tshirt, i have to melt glue off 5 screw drivers, and the heat gun started making weird noises. Im def never doing this again!!!

Default Modified 92 tails VS. Stock

Pics by popular demand! I think its easier to swap motors then take these tail lights apart, seriously.

'97 tails what??? Not for me

Thanks everyone!! Its so hard to do a mod around CFL that no one has done yet, hopefully this will seperate me for a little while.

Ill get some light pictures tonight after work. Ill also try to find some dual filiment sockets and wire both inside and outside red's as parking and brake lights to complete the modernization. Im also looking for a local plastic chromer to chrome the inside to even further it.

The pics really show the difference... Good job... Its a a shame that some may not realize the change since your red Sc3 tends to blend the tails more than another color..

Read above where it says it took me 1.5hrs to take each one apart. Anyone who experenced taking 92 tails apart will agree, its a one time thing and youll never want to do it again (unless $$ is involved). You cant shake and bake them, the glue has a higher melting point then headlights and youll deform the plastic before you melt the glue if you oven them. Heatgun and alot of time and screwdrivers is the only route.

the soarer tail lights are the same as the SC tails..... only without the DOT reflectors on the outside corner.

as for the plastic chrome... there is a place in miami... ill get the info later if i remember.

looks good, but the chrome will really set them off, and a light tint would go good too.... maybe a red tint.

Ill get pics around midnight, midnight 30 when i get home from work. It will look 10x better when i wire both red lights under as "parking" lights.

Now i need to find another set of 92 style tails so i can take em apart and get the back piece chromed.
