Sooo I picked up the car yesterday after taking it on a test drive. It's actually a 95 not a 97. After driving it I decided I wanted that baby. It's definitely not as fast as the GSX was, but the first thing I noticed was how much better the tranny shifted. The car was $8,995 from the dealer plus another $1k in taxes and DMV stuff. I think it was worth it especially considering it's everything I could want (black on black, 5sp). I can't wait to start modding

There's a few minor things I need to fix- need to pull the headlights apart and clean and re-seal them because both are fogged up (thanks in advance for the FAQ ), the trunk doesn't stay up on it's own so I need to replace the hydraulics, and a few other small things. All in all it's in pretty good shape for an 11 year old car.

Ok enough talk on with the pics This is after sitting over night so it's a little dirty.... she's asking for a few layers of Zaino this weekend

2jz no **** :P

lucky, i just found a white on beige one, but a black on black would have been more perfect (5 speed also), just wondering as anybody elese driven an older manual sc b4 noted that the 97's gear shifter is lower? is it because of different gearing. it seems a little different..

I wasn't able to drive it, but I started it up and the idle was clean. I gave them a deposit to hold it for me until it's ready. Sooooo if I drive it and like it I'll be a new member of the family

My name's Matt... moved to San Diego from Santa Barbara in September. Last car was a 99 Eclipse GSX (AWD turbo) with a large handful of mods- to4e 50trim turbo, FMIC, 750cc injectors, wideband o2 and a really nice tuning device (DSMLink for those of you that know), etc. The car was very fast and very fun, but I totalled it so I'm trying to move from DSM's to an SC.

Sooo anyway I'll be lurking here until I'm officially an SC owner. Wish me luck

And if anyone has anything I should look out for when I drive it that would be greatly appreciated. I had the DSM before and of course you want to look out for the good ol' crankwalk. If there's a common problem I should look for thanks in advance for any tips.

^ I just want apologise for the excessive use of "yall" in my previous post I was pretty intoxicated while posting that and now I look like an idiot. Just letting the sc vets know I'm not a ghetto little kid who just got his hands on this car and is going to wreck it. I'm 22 and an architecture student going for my bachelors in arch. Reading some of the recent threads it seems like there's a lot of anger in the community for what's happened because of fads and whatnot but I don't want to be put in that category. kthnx see yall around
