New to the forums and Lexus/Toyota
Hey all new here. Just looked at a 97 sc300 black on black 5speed. They JUST got it in so it's not ready for sale- they need to replace the door panels, get it smogged and detailed; other than that it looked beautiful. 122k miles, t-belt and water pump were replaced at 120k. I wasn't able to drive it, but I started it up and the idle was clean. I gave them a deposit to hold it for me until it's ready. Sooooo if I drive it and like it I'll be a new member of the family
My name's Matt... moved to San Diego from Santa Barbara in September. Last car was a 99 Eclipse GSX (AWD turbo) with a large handful of mods- to4e 50trim turbo, FMIC, 750cc injectors, wideband o2 and a really nice tuning device (DSMLink for those of you that know), etc. The car was very fast and very fun, but I totalled it so I'm trying to move from DSM's to an SC.
Sooo anyway I'll be lurking here until I'm officially an SC owner. Wish me luck
And if anyone has anything I should look out for when I drive it that would be greatly appreciated. I had the DSM before and of course you want to look out for the good ol' crankwalk. If there's a common problem I should look for thanks in advance for any tips.

btw, when you take a look at the engine check to see if they fixed a leak in the power steering lines... seems like a common problem and you'll know if it was leaking at all because my plastic shield was wet like something was leaking .... lol and don't overlook the guage cluster, which is what i did, make sure all the needles are lit.... if not our good moderator O.L.T can help you out
