Default Mirror Control ECU SC300

Hello there,

i would like to ask if somebody have an used mirror ECU to sell it to me. Im from Germany, and it is very expensive to get a new one from dealer here, they want have 350 Euro for this part. Much to expensive, how i think, the sum of electric components and building cant cost lexus more then 50 dollar

I have located it under the steering column and take it out (one screw is really tricky if you dont want to take complete upper panel away, cause it is deep in the console, hint: dont take a screwdriver, better use a wrench). I have open it and made a sight check, but nothing seems broken. I also measure the elctric componentes, find nothing. Sadly i dont have a layer for the elctrical circuit, so i have no ideas more how to test it. The repair manual i have for the sc is not very helpfull at this point, it says i have to replace the ecu I have read in other threads this bug is typical for earlier SC's, but i couldnt find that excactly the bug is, somebody knows?

Please have endurance with my bad europeen spelling

best regards from Germany White Rabbit

Ein bier bitte...

lol

What problems are you having that make you think you need a new ECU?

I have a full schematic at home I can post for you. You may want to post in the for sale section with a WTB (want to buy) ad.

Kommt sofort Peter

Both Mirrors dont go. The ECU dont react to any signals. I have tested the mirrors, control part and measure the wire harness, all OK, must be the ECU.

I have posted a search thread in the sale section, this thread is probably in the false section, im sorry. If you have the elctronic layout of the ECU, a post with it would be a dream Where did you get it?

I don't have an ECU for you, but props for self-diagnosing your problem down to the specific before asking for assistance. Hope it all works out for you without spending massive money at the stealership!

Post Here you go.

I presumed you have the ecu with driver position memory. The ecu without is much simpler.

Yes i have driver position memory, never heard there is an SC without, i thought all versions have this. My is imported from sunny Florida. Many thanks for pictures Sadly it needs more to test it complete. I guess "electronic layout" is not the right term, because of my bad english scores in the school, i dont know that is the right one I meant something with complete design, all things at the ecu (the cpu, resistors and so on). Without this one, it is very diffucult to find out how this thing should work. You can read values from the resistors, but if you dont know what the cpu schould do... There is a part on the cpu board that is completely black so you cant read part name, copyright i guess, this contains at least 8 inputs = 256 possibilities. Takes to long to test this one alone and find out boolean function, go to work and pay a new one would be more effective in this case. And it must not be expensive, thanks to aliga one more time

Off topic :
