I wouldnt buy a 99 SC, its inferior to an OBD1 car when it comes to ease of modding or motor swapping..

Im not an expert on model years, but with the different ECU and body harness and wires, it makes drop in motor swaps alot harder. There is no real advantage to an 92 or a 2000 becides little appearence changes.

If your looking for a car to be ballz fast (i can tell by ur sig), get an older model and just change the body panels to the 97+. It will be alot easier and less electrical problems to install a 2JZGTE or 1JZGTE.

i'm not looking for ***** fast...i have that now and i'm getting tired of the headaches, haha. the jury is still out on whether i'm going to turbo this car, but i'm sure thats what all of you guys said. suppose ill just have to wait and see what kind of condition the 99 is in...for now, i just want something that i can daily drive that looks sexy and is rwd. we shall see i suppose...

oh, and thanks for all the positive responses thus far, makes me glad i'm considering the jump from the GM world...the prix has been fun but its DEFINATELY time for a change

i mean i love my prix and have put way more money then i wanted to and its been fun. when its running, its an 11 second car but i'm tired of the problems, tired of blown trans, tired of fwd...i'd be happy w/ just exhaust on a SC....i dont plan on doing any modding for at least a year (if i in fact jump sides). only time will tell

Yeah they are BEAUTIFUL driving cars. I motor swapped both of mine and i hate to even mod them. The stock twin turbo motor is so reliable, has good power and gets good mpg i almost hate to ruin it

Well at least OBD1, they are more simple then any GM car eletrical wise. I dont have the slightest about details on OBD2 cars.

just got the service records to me....they didnt do as i asked sadly. they didnt put down what "other inspection" or "see detail" were...however, car was maintained properly. regular oil changes (although he didnt always go to lexus), car washes....wiper blade repairs....30,000 mile service non warrant, etc etc....the records stop on 4/27/2005 so the car was still be serviced last year...i dont see anything major on here other the the "other inspections" but that could be anything. the high mileage has to be b/c of highway driving. he (or she) put almost 100k miles on the car in 2 years, business man perhaps?

anyway, things looked pretty good
