How many SC400/SC300 of this forum has problem with power steering leaks?
What did you have to replaced?
Pump?
High pressure hose?
Low pressure hose?
How many mile on your when the steering began to leak?
please specify if it SC300 or SC400
How much did it cost you to fix?

My mechanic told me that when wp leaks you only have to replace rubber/plastic seals. $4 from a dealer. Be aware before you spend more !

Can you give me a little more details on the seals?
From what I gather so far, the most fault to leaking is the high pressure hose and it cost more than $560 part from Steve Ganz.

$4 sure sound sweet compare to more than $550

May be in your case it involved something else, like high pressure hose, but when I ask my guy if I need to replace power steering to be safe, he told me not to worry and when it will leak it will only take that much to fix it. Seals are going bad after some time.

I had my power steering pump replaced about 2 months ago for about 900.00 total that include the pump for 400 sumthin' and the solenoid for 200 sumthin' labor 200 and some and miscellaneous parts like fluids gaskets etc . my pump was leaking quite a bit squealing like hell and difficult to turn though I had just about 70,000 miles on my 94 sc400 at the time ...good luck

(Ouch for sure) 70K miles with a steering leak

I will check mine out carefully to see which hose leaks. This one has 141,9xx miles on it. Just pick it up yesterday
